Figuring out what to buy your single guy friend as a housewarming gift is an age-old dilemma that plagues both men and women. Guys who have just successfully conquered the Brampton condos for sale battleground expect to be rewarded for their struggles just like anyone else, but are less likely to be satisfied with "normal" housewarming presents like dishes or sheet sets because most of them don't plan on using them anyway. The challenge lies in getting them something that they will not only like but actually use, so to help you out we've divided guys into gift-giving categories.
The Workaholic
Workaholics are most likely to be celebrating the purchase of their new chrome-and-glass place at Charlie Condos, which they chose because it's a few blocks from their office. These guys are hard to buy for because not only will they not be spending much time at home, they're also unlikely to cook or clean for themselves. Gifts for workaholics can range from countertop PDA docks to quick-charge their work handhelds to towels and sheets, because the bathroom and the bedroom will probably be the only rooms they'll be using. Things not to bother with: dishes and decorations.
The Garage Guru
Garage gurus are guys who like to work with their hands. Maybe they're a PCB designer for an electronics manufacturer, a car repair specialist, or they just like to make their own furniture. These guys are looking for tools to fill up their new workspaces, so ask the staff at a building supply store to recommend a new one that would help with their hobbies, like a laser level for a carpentry buff or a soldering iron for an electronics guy. They probably won't be spending a lot of time in the house, so don't waste your money on entertainment equipment like DVDs or stereo systems.
The Tech Nerd
Tech nerds are guys who love gadgets, regardless of whether they have any use for them or not. If it's got buttons and screens on it they want it. Shop for tech nerds at electronic stores and focus especially on new, hot, advanced items that have touch screens, GPS, and multiple functions. Online collaboration software, BluRay players, flat-screen TVs, and needlessly complicated kitchen appliances are all good choices. Remember though, these guys probably don't spend much time outside, so a barbecue or patio chair would probably be wasted on them.
The Single Dad
Once a guy has kids they generally become the focus of his life, no matter if he has sole custody or joint custody with the child's other parent. Single dads will want their new houses to appeal to their kids as much as possible so they'll want to spend time there, and anything you can do to help out will be appreciated. This could mean anything from a good stereo to play hardcore punk music on, outdoor play equipment, or kitchen appliances that will help dad make better tasting food. Things to avoid: anything fragile or breakable.
