When it comes to gift giving, the average person will spend a lot of time and money shopping over the course of a year. The good thing about friends is that most of the time, you don't necessarily feel obliged to get them a gift on special occasions. In fact, most of us probably don't know when our friends' birthdays are up until a week or so before the big event. Still, many people do feel as though they should get their friends something special over the course of a year. There are many people out there who might even consider friends as part of their family.
